If you are reporting a bug, it helps a lot to include your phone model, OS version and what you were doing when it happened.

I lost kites

In open matchmaking you lose one kite for every cut against you: between zero and three per duel. Whoever loses the duel loses three; the winner loses the ones they let slip along the way. The kite that gets cut is destroyed — your rival does not take it.

That is the rule of the game, not a bug. In every other mode —the ladder of rivals, the practice yard and duels with a friend by code— you lose none.

I ran out of kites

They refill on their own: there is a free daily drip, and if you hit zero a courtesy top-up arrives every few hours so you are never walled out. Your card, inside the game, shows how long until the next one.

Meanwhile you can keep playing everything that costs no kites: the ladder, the practice yard and duels with a friend by code. If you want to speed it up, there are packs in the shop.

I changed phones and lost my account

Link your account to Apple or Google before you change phones. You do it in Settings, inside the game, and it is the only thing that lets you get it back afterwards: link with the same Apple or Google account on the new phone and everything returns — kites, designs, ranking.

If you never linked it, the account was anonymous and there is no way to recover it: we have no way to prove it was yours. Offline progress lives separately, on the phone, and comes back with your iOS or Android backup.

I bought something and it wasn't credited

If you bought a kite pack, the balance is credited once the payment clears. If you were charged and the balance didn't go up, close and reopen the game with a connection: the purchase retries on its own. If it still doesn't show up, write to us with your Apple or Google receipt and we will credit it by hand.

If you bought a design and can't see it, open the shop and use restore purchases, signed in with the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with.

Mind the difference: designs are permanent and always restorable; kites are consumable tokens, the game spends them, and that is why they cannot be restored.

Notifications don't reach me

Notifications are there to tell you your daily kites are ready. If they don't arrive: check that notifications for Volantín are allowed in your phone settings (on iOS, Settings → Volantín → Notifications; on Android, Settings → Apps → Volantín → Notifications), and that a focus or do-not-disturb mode isn't silencing them. If they are allowed and still don't arrive, write to us with your phone model.

I want to delete my data

Settings has two separate options: erase progress, which clears your local progress without touching your purchases, and delete account, which erases your profile, balance, ranking, history and designs from the server. The detail of what goes and what stays is in delete your account.

My player name was rejected

Names are reviewed on the server because other players and the ranking can see them. We reject ones that are offensive, discriminatory, sexual, that impersonate someone, or that are advertising. If you think yours was rejected by mistake, tell us what it was and we'll take a look.

The controls don't respond

Volantín is played with both thumbs resting on the bottom edge of the screen, with no virtual joystick. If it feels hard, open the practice yard from the cover: it teaches the five moves one at a time and shows on screen what the game is reading from your fingers. If a gesture never registers, tell us which one and on what phone.

Requesting a refund

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. On iOS, through reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, from your Google Play order history. If the problem was technical, write to us first and let's see if it can be fixed.
