Terms of use

Last updated · August 13, 2026
The gist: we sell identity and we sell access, never power and never results. Kites are game tokens with no cash value, and you lose them when your line gets cut.

What Volantín is

Volantín is a kite-fighting game for phones, developed and published by Pewén Labs SpA. By downloading and playing it, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use it.

Your account

An anonymous account is created when you open the game. Linking it to Apple or Google is optional and only required for open matchmaking. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to the Apple or Google account you linked it to.

You must be at least 13 to play, or the age your country's law requires if it is higher.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Volantín on devices you control, subject to the rules of the store you downloaded it from. The game, its code, art, sound and text are the property of Pewén Labs SpA and are protected by intellectual property law.

You may not decompile, modify or redistribute the game, nor use its content in another product without our written permission.

Kites are game tokens

Kites are virtual tokens for use inside the game, with no monetary value. They are not currency, they cannot be transferred between players, they do not convert into money, and they cannot be cashed out or sold outside the game. Buying them grants a limited licence to use them inside Volantín, not ownership of anything.

Designs

Designs are cosmetic: they change how your kite looks in the sky and alter no game variable. They do not cut better, hold longer or fly differently. The three line coatings, which do feed into how cuts are calculated, are deliberately not for sale.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed and charged by Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing, depending on the store. We never see or store your payment details, and refunds are handled by the store, not by us: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and Google from your Google Play order history.

Because kites are consumable, they are not refundable once credited and used, unless your local law says otherwise. If you had a technical problem with a purchase —you paid and it was not credited— write to us and we will sort it out with you.

Online duels and ranking

The outcome of an online duel is decided by the server, not by your phone. If someone quits, the duel closes in favour of whoever stayed. The server's verdict is the one that counts.

The ranking runs by season, which is the calendar month. At the end of each season scores are partially reset and a new table begins. We may adjust the formula, correct scores obtained by cheating, and void results from manipulated duels.

Online play depends on a connection and on our servers. We do our best to keep it available, but it can be interrupted by maintenance or by causes outside our control. What you play offline does not depend on any of that.

Your player name and how we get along

The name you choose is visible to other players and in the ranking. We review it on the server and reject —or change— names that are offensive, discriminatory, sexual, that impersonate another person or us, or that work as advertising. Club names are built from closed lists, so there is nothing to moderate there.

Cheating, modifying the game to gain an advantage, automating play, exploiting flaws in the economy or the matchmaker, and harassing other players are not allowed.

Suspension and termination

If you break these rules we may take away your name, remove you from the ranking, suspend your access to online features or close your account, depending on how serious it is. When we can, we warn you first. When an account is closed, the kites and designs attached to it are lost, with no refund.

You can leave whenever you want: delete your account from Settings, inside the game.

The game over time

We may add, change or retire content, including designs on sale. If we retire one from the catalogue, anyone who already bought it keeps it. We may also adjust balance —rival difficulty, line behaviour, wind, the numbers behind the economy— because this is a living game and that is part of maintaining it.

No warranty

Volantín is provided "as is". We do our best to make it work well on every supported device, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or that it will run without interruption. What we do commit to is fixing what breaks: write to us.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pewén Labs SpA's liability for any claim relating to the game will not exceed the amount you have paid within it during the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights your local consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
